The LELIT Mara X3 Espresso Machine brings compact, capable flow control to your home espresso setup. The Mara X3 keeps the dual-probe heat exchanger layout popularized in the classic Mara X, while adding new 'Pagaia' pump-level flow control, an upgraded heating element and redesigned all-wood touchpoints. The X3's flagship feature, Pagaia, adds manual flow control through the use of a side-mounted paddle. Unlike other flow control designs, Pagaia directly controls the power sent to the X3's pump, lowering flow instead of restricting it with a needle or ball valve. The upside? More consistent, repeatable flow control. Other changes, like a larger 1400W heating element and minor revisions to temperature settings also promise more accurate temperatures. Inside, you'll still find dedicated modes that prioritize espresso temperatures (Xmode Coffee) or brew-then-steam dynamic heating (Xmode Steam).
